Betsy Ball is a highly experienced IT professional with more than 30 years of experience, including work in user support as well as server, network, and firewall administration. In her role at WashU, she serves as an Information Security Architect, working with the Risk Assessment team on IT infrastructure assessment and supporting the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) process.
Betsy is a self-professed long-time “computer geek.” Her first computer was a Commodore VIC 20. She enjoys gaming but does not currently consider herself a “gamer.” Nonetheless, she retains a collection of vintage gaming consoles and games, including ColecoVision, Atari, Sega Dreamcast, and nearly every Nintendo console, including the “Virtual Boy.”
We are lucky to have Betsy as part of our team, and we look forward to her continued excellent work in the coming months and years.
