Research Protocol

A research protocol is a detailed plan that outlines how a scientific study will be conducted.

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews research protocols to ensure research is conducted ethically.

The Office of Information Security also reviews research protocols, often at the request of the IRB, in order to provide security recommendations and best practices to the research community. To request a security review of a research study, please complete the OIS IRB Security Review form.
