Deidentified Data
Deidentified data has had all individual identifiers removed. Examples of individual identifiers include first and last name, addresses, social security numbers, license plate numbers, biometric identifiers, full-face photographs or comparable images, and any other type of information that could be used alone or in combination, intentionally or unintentionally, to identify an individual.
Deidentifying data reduced privacy risks to individuals and supports the secondary use of data for comparative studies, policy assessments, and ongoing research.
