2021 InfoSec Competitions
This year, 925 people participated in our competition activities. Participation in our “Test Your Knowledge” challenge more than doubled over last year, from 330 participants in 2020 to 724 participants in 2021. We held our first-ever student competition involving reporting simulated phishing attempted using the Phish Alert Button (PAB). We had 83 student entries, and many of the students accurately reported all five of our simulated phishes, receiving one drawing entry per PAB-reported phish. We look forward to seeing even more participants in next year’s competitions!
This year, we gave away both Bear Bucks awards and exciting devices. A breakdown of our prizes is below:
Test Your Knowledge
- $250 in Bear Bucks x 4
- $500 in Bear Bucks x 1
Student Competition
- Oculus VR Headset x 1
- Nintendo Switch and MarioKart bundle x 1
