As part of the university-wide rebranding effort, WashU IT is updating its email templates to align with the current university guidelines.
Starting July 1, the university community will begin receiving emails in the new format. While the purpose of the messages remains the same, the design will look different.
These are not phishing emails, but critical communications about WashU IT initiatives and operational changes. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the new look to avoid confusion.
In addition to aligning with the WashU brand, this refresh also brings several improvements:
- Leveraged Universal Design principles
- Enhanced readability on mobile devices
- New sender names provide additional context for messaging
You can access a preview of the updated template for desktop and for mobile devices.
This change supports a more consistent and recognizable digital experience across WashU. For questions, contact the WashU IT Organizational Change Management team.
As always, stay vigilant when it comes to email security. Report suspicious emails using the Phish Alert Button. It is always best to be cautious and report anything remotely suspicious. Our team will analyze all submissions and return them to you if they are determined to be safe.
