Data Disposal

Data disposal is the process of removing, “sanitizing,” or deleting stored information. Recommended methods include physically destroying the device with heat or shredding, or using special software to scramble any stored information so that it can’t be read or recovered. This process is known as “sanitizing” or “wiping”.
